PANDUAN PENULISAN FORUM ARKEOLOGI

BALAI ARKEOLOGI BALI

 

Cakupan isi jurnal Forum Arkeologi

            Jurnal Forum Arkeologi memuat pemikiran ilmiah, hasil penelitian atau tinjauan/ ulasan/ pemikiran tentang kearkeologian terbit 2 kali dalam setahun setiap bulan, April dan Oktober.

Standar Umum Penulisan Karya Tulis Ilmiah

  1. Naskah ditulis dalam Bahasa Indonesia atau Bahasa Inggris.
  2. Judul, Abstrak, dan Kata Kunci harus ditulis dalam dua bahasa (Indonesia dan Inggris).
  3. Ditulis dengan menggunakan MS Word pada kertas ukuran A4 (210 mm x 297mm), font Times New Roman ukuran 12, spasi 1.15. Batas atas, batas bawah, tepi kiri, dan tepi kanan masing-masing 3 cm. Jumlah minimal 10 halaman, maksimal 20 halaman isi (tidak termasuk lampiran).
  4. Penyebutan istilah di luar bahasa Indonesia atau Inggris harus ditulis dengan huruf cetak miring (italic).s

Struktur Karya Tulis Ilmiah

Naskah Karya Tulis Ilmiah (KTI) tersusun meliputi unsur-unsur sebagai berikut:

  1. Judul
  2. Nama dan Alamat Penulis
  3. Abstrak
  4. Kata Kunci
  5. Pendahuluan (antara lain latar belakang, perumusan masalah, tujuan, teori, dan hipotesis [opsional])
  6. Metode Penelitian (berisi waktu dan tempat, bahan/cara pengumpulan data, metode, analisis data)
  7. Hasil dan Pembahasan (termasuk ilustrasi : gambar/tabel/grafik/foto/diagram dll)
  8. Kesimpulan
  9. Saran (opsional)
  10. Daftar Pustaka
  11. Lampiran (opsional)

Cara Penulisan Judul

  1. Judul bahasa Indonesia diketik dengan huruf kapital tebal (bold) dan mencerminkan inti tulisan, diketik rata tengah (centre).
  2. Judul bahasa Inggris ditulis dengan huruf kapital setiap awal kata, di bold, italic, dan di ketik rata tengah (centre).
  3. Apabila judul ditulis dalam Bahasa Indonesia maka di bawahnya ditulis ulang dalam Bahasa Inggris; begitu juga sebaliknya.

Cara Penulisan Nama dan Alamat

  1. Nama penulis diketik di bawah judul, ditulis lengkap tanpa menyebut gelar, diketik rata tengah (centre) dan di bold. Apabila ditulis oleh dua atau tiga orang, maka  dibelakang nama diberi tanda super script.
  2. Alamat penulis (nama dan alamat instansi tempat bekerja) ditulis lengkap dengan jarak satu spasi di bawah nama penulis. Apabila dua atau tiga orang penulis dengan alamat yang sama, cukup ditulis satu alamat saja.
  3. Alamat Pos-el (Pos elektronik) ditulis di bawah alamat penulis.
  4. Jika alamat lebih dari satu maka harus diberi tanda asterisk (*) dan diikuti alamat sekarang.
  5. Jika penulis terdiri dari lebih dari satu orang maka harus ditambahkan kata penghubung ‘dan’ (bukan lambang ‘&’).
  6. Riwayat naskah: diterima, direvisi dan  disetujui, ditulis sejajar.

Cara Penulisan Abstrak dan Kata Kunci

  1. Kata abstrak ditulis rata tengah (center), italic dan bold.
  2. Abstrak ditulis dalam satu paragraph, bukan dalam bentuk matematis, pertanyaan, atau dugaan. Ditulis menerus tanpa acuan, kutipan, singkatan, serta bersifat mandiri dengan huruf  italic. Diketik  satu spasi font 11 serta ditulis dalam dua bahasa yaitu bahasa Indonesia maksimal 250 kata dan bahasa Inggris maksimal 150 kata.
  3. Abstrak berisi empat aspek yaitu: tujuan penelitian, metode yang digunakan, hasil penelitian, dan kesimpulan penelitian.
  4. Apabila KTI menggunakan bahasa Indonesia, maka abstrak (abstract) dalam Bahasa Inggris didahulukan dan sebaliknya.
  5. Abstrak dalam Bahasa Indonesia diikuti kata kunci dalam Bahasa Indonesia, sedangkan abstract dalam bahasa Inggris diikuti keywords dalam Bahasa Inggris.
  6. Penulisan abstrak  Bahasa Indonesia maupun Bahasa Inggris tidak sejajar dengan narasi naskah, dan diketik, italic.
  7. Kata kunci paling sedikit tiga kata dan paling banyak lima kata, ditulis dengan huruf cetak miring (italic).

Cara Penyajian Tabel

  1. Judul tabel ditampilkan di bagian atas tabel, rata kiri (bukan center), ditulis menggunakan font Times New Roman ukuran 10.
  2. Tulisan ‘Tabel’ dan ‘nomor’ditulis tebal (bold), sedangkan judul tabel ditulis normal. Gunakan angka Arab (1, 2, 3, dst.) untuk penomoran judul tabel.
  3. Tabel ditampilkan rata kiri halaman (bukan center).
  4. Jenis dan ukuran font untuk isi tabel dapat menggunakan Times New Roman atau Arial Narrow ukuran 8-11 dengan jarak 1,0.
  5. Pencantuman sumber atau keterangan diletakkan di bawah tabel, rata kiri, menggunakan font Times New Roman ukuran 10.

Cara Penyajian Gambar, Grafik, Foto, atau Diagram

  1. Gambar, grafik, foto, atau diagram ditampilkan di tengah halaman (center).
  2. Keterangan gambar, grafik, foto, atau diagram ditulis di bawah ilustrasi, menggunakan font Times New Roman ukuran 10, ditempatkan di tengah (center).
  3. Tulisan ‘Gambar, Grafik, Foto, atau Diagram’ dan ‘nomor’ditulis tebal (bold), sedangkan isi keterangan ditulis normal.
  4. Gunakan angka Arab (1, 2, 3, dst.) untuk penomoran gambar, grafik, foto, atau diagram.
  5. Pencantuman sumber atau keterangan diletakkan di bawah ilustrasi, rata kiri, menggunakan font Times New Roman ukuran 10.

Cara Pengutipan Sumber

  1. Penunjuk sumber dalam naskah supaya dibuat dengan urutan sebagai berikut: nama pengarang, tahun terbit dan halaman sumber, semuanya ditempatkan dalam tanda kurung (Langsing, 1991: 93).

Cara dan Contoh Penulisan Daftar Pustaka

  1. Urutan dalam Daftar Pustaka ditulis berdasarkan alfabetis.
  2. Daftar pustaka yang diacu paling sedikit 10 acuan, sebaiknya 80 persen acuan primer dan 20 persen acuan sekunder.
  3. Ukuran huruf lebih kecil dari isi naskah. Font 11 Time New Roman.

Scope of contents of Forum Arkeologi jurnal
            Forum Arkeologi Journal contains scientific thoughts, research results or reviews/ reviews on archaeology published twice a year in April and October.

General Standard of Scientific Writing

  1. The manuscript written in Bahasa Indonesia or English.
  2. Title, Abstract and Keywords should be written in two languages (Bahasa Indonesian and English).
  3. Written using MS Word on A4 size paper (210 mm x 297mm), Times New Roman (TNR) font size 12, space 1.15. Using 3 cm for all margins. Minimum of 10 pages, maximum 20 pages of contents (excluding attachments).
  4. References to terms outside the Indonesian or English languages should be written in italics

Structure of Scientific Writing
The script of Scientific Writing composed include the following elements:

  1. Title
  2. Author's Name and Address
  3. Abstract
  4. Keywords
  5. Introduction (including background, problem formulation, purpose, theory, and hypothesis [optional])
  6. Research Methods (containing time and place, materials / data collection methods, methods, data analysis)
  7. Results and Discussion (including illustrations: drawings / tables / charts / photos / diagrams etc)
  8. Conclusions
  9. Suggestion (optional)
  10. References
  11. Attachment (optional)

How to Write a Title

  1. The title in Bahasa Indonesia typed centrally in bold capital letters and reflects the essence of the writing.
  2. The English title written in capital letters at the beginning of each word, in bold, italic, and centered.
  3. If the title written in Bahasa Indonesia then underneath it is re-written in English, vice versa.

How to Write Name and Address

  1. Author’s name typed under title, written completely without mentioning academic degree, typed center average and in bold. When written by two or three people, then behind the name is given a super script.
  2. The author's address (name and address of the workplace entity) is written complete with a single space spacing under the author's name. If two or three authors with the same address, only one address is written.
  3. Email Address (electronic mail) is written under the author's address.

If the author consists of more than one person then a 'and' links should be added (not '&').

How to Write Abstract and Keyword

  1. The word ‘abstract’ is written center, italic and bold.
  2. Abstract written in one paragraph, not in mathematical form, question, or conjecture. Written continuously without reference, quotation, abbreviation, and is independent with italic letters. Typed in single space, font 11 and written in two languages (Bahasa Indonesia and English). Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia consists of maximum 250 words and English maximum of 150 words.
  3. Abstract contains four aspects, namely: the purpose of research, the methods used, the results of research, and the conclusion of the study.
  4. If the manuscript uses Bahasa Indonesia, the abstract should be in English takes precedence and vice versa.
  5. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia followed by keyword in Indonesian, while abstract in English followed by keyword in English.
  6. Abstract written not parallel to the script narrative, and typed italic.
  7. Keywords consist of at least three words and at most five words, written in italics.

How to Present Table

  1. The title of the table is displayed at the top of the table, left-hand side (not center), written using TNR font size 10.
  2. 'Table' and 'numbers' are written bold, while table titles are normally written. Use Arabic numerals (1, 2, 3, etc.) for numbering table titles.
  3. The table is displayed on the left-hand side of the page (not the center).
  4. Font size and size for table contents can use TNR or Arial Narrow size 8-11 with distance 1.0.
  5. Inclusion of source or description is placed under table, left-hand side, using TNR font size 10.

How to Present Images, Graphics, Photos, or Diagrams

  1. Pictures, graphics, photos, or diagrams are displayed in the middle of the page (center).
  2. Captions of any pictures graphics, photographs, or diagrams are written below the illustrations, using TNR font size 10, placed in the center.
  3. 'Picture, Graphics, Photos, or Diagrams' and 'numbers' are written bold, while the content of the information is written normally.
  4. Use Arabic numerals (1, 2, 3, etc.) for the numbering of images, graphics, photographs, or diagrams.
  5. Inclusion of source or description is placed under the illustration, left flat, using TNR font size 10.

How to Cite :

  1. Citation and Reference are written according to Chicago Manual of style
  2. The order in the bibliography is written alphabetically.
  3. There should be at least 10 references, preferably 80 percent of the primary references and 20 percent secondary references for any article based on research. On the other hand, at least 25 references needed for any article based on review or study. 
  4. The font size 11 (TNR).

  1. Manuscripts written and submitted have not been sent to other journal publishers and published in other publications.
  2. Script according to the scope of Journal of Archeology Forum, ie archeology, history, ethnography, anthropology, and other supporting sciences related to human and culture.
  3. The manuscript written in English or Bahasa Indonesia.
  4. The manuscript has been prepared in accordance with the format and systematics of script writing (as per the script template Journal Forum Arkeologi).
  5. Citation and bibliography have been in accordance with the style of Forum Arkeologi.

  6. The author is subject to the decision and the result of the review of the manuscript by the Editorial Board.
